Simon Jakobovits is a Melbourne based Gastroenterologist with a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) – Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Whilst Dr Jakobovits investigates and treats all general gastroenterological complaints, he specialises in supporting sufferers of IBD to manage this lifelong illness.
Dr Jakobovits completed physician training at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. He undertook Specialist Gastroenterology training at the Western Hospital, Footscray Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. He subsequently undertook a research and clinical fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases at the John Radcliff Hospital in Oxford, UK.
