Mr Abdul Rahman MBBS., FRACS., FRCS.
After arriving in Australia in 1968 from Malaysia, Mr Rahman completed surgical training in Melbourne in 1972 and went on to further training in the United Kingdom for a year. On obtaining both FRACS and FRCS he worked in Melbourne and Bendigo until 1980. During this time he visited Cleveland and Oschner Clinics in the USA for brief periods, and spent a few weeks in both colorectal and general surgical units inParis, Singapore and China.
Between 1980 and 1985 he established a multidisciplinary hospital in South India where he gained experience in a variety of specialties. On return to Melbourne he established two fully registered and accredited day hospitals in Ascot Vale and Springvale.
Mr Rahman’s special interests have remained in day surgical procedures and endoscopies.
