The fees charged by the doctors and anaesthetists at The Endoscopy Centre are the fees set by the government for the test you are having. This fee will be bulk billed for all patients who hold a current Medicare card. Information regarding fees for patients who do not hold a Medicare card is available on request.
The hospital facility fee may vary due to a number of factors. This amount will be advised when you make your appointment.
For patients with private health insurance we have Preferred Provider Agreements with the majority of funds and we participate in their ‘No Gap Cover’ schemes for the doctors’ fees. Your fund can be billed on your behalf.
Some patients with differing levels of private health cover, or who have an excess on their policy, may incur part of the fee. Patients should check their level of cover and any excess with their health fund and with our office staff.
Pathology services for biopsy specimens taken at The Endoscopy Centre’s are usually bulk-billed by the pathology lab.
Pensioners, unemployed and disadvantaged patients will not be denied access to health services due to cost, and are advised to discuss this matter with our staff.
